Hogwarts Legacy players have been waiting so long for new content, they’re finding themselves rightly overjoyed by the addition of mod support on PC.
The Harry Potter fans who have supported the game since launch have spent months begging for DLC or new additions, and now the community can create and build plenty of options for players.
Official modding has come to Hogwarts Legacy
Warner Bros and Avalanche Studios recently announced that the PC version Hogwarts Legacy would receive full, official mod support.

While some would love to see this come over to console, the PC players are thrilled to be able to expand their game further.
“This is huge. This could single-handedly revive this game,” said one fan over on Reddit in a thread celebrating the addition.
Others are equally excited, with itsADHDecent saying, “This is absolutely FANTASTIC NEWS! Well played Warner Bros!!”
The mod support will allow for all-new questlines, designed by players and community creators.

There’s also potential to have more items and spells for a wider range of interaction.
“Official PC modding support in 2025? Wow, What a massive W,” comments nesnalica.
Hope is rising that this support will find its way over to PlayStation and Xbox in a future update, as a large portion of the player base is on console.
One fan laments the situation, saying, “As a PS5 owner, I can't find words to describe the FOMO I'm experiencing right now. I mean, I know that mods were already there for PC, but now that there's actual official support for them makes me a bit envious.”

It’s not out of the realm of possibility as Warner Bros. Games did say “currently” when announcing the PC support, so it could be in the plans.
Taking from the world of Harry Potter and Hogwarts, one player expressed their joy by simply saying, “10 points to everyone.”
