Few would believe Hogwarts Legacy is traumatising, yet you’d be surprised to learn that many found one particular quest upsetting.
The Wizarding World isn’t for the faint-hearted.
We know this by having read the books, watched their film adaptations, and delved deeper into Harry Potter lore in our own time.

Even though this is “for kids”, there are a lot of unnerving and distressing moments throughout the franchise.
One of those scenes happened during the Hogwarts Legacy DLC.
It’s left such an impact on players that Agreeable_Building_2 quipped on r/HarryPotterGame that it had given her “PTSD”.
Remember when Hogwarts Legacy first launched? What an amazing time!
“Got PTSD covering art class at work today,” the OP joked, referring to the photo of a mannequin figure they’d shared.

Immediately, fellow fans knew what the OP was referring to.
“I saw this and immediately went ‘f'kn mannequins!’ I already found them creepy before lol I understand,” responded SimmeringGemini.
User Silenzeio_ said, “First time I hit Lumos and saw I was surrounded by them, I immediately thought, ‘Oh you're gonna be one of THOSE quests’.”
Have you guessed what it is yet?

Everyone is referring to the Haunted Hogsmeade quest, of course.
This “creepy af” quest was originally only available for PlayStation 5 players, but after the summer update, it became available for all.
Ergo, you may have missed it if you’ve not played the game since that update went live.
In more recent days, a massive update has left fans “super happy”, not to mention unafraid.

Many believe this update will “revive” the game, not that it was dead to begin with but we get their sentiment.
If you should decide to play Hogwarts Legacy again (we're not judging), just be prepared to trauma bond with fellow fans once you’ve reached the mannequins section.
