Hogwarts Legacy is getting a definitive upgrade apparently, bringing players back to the Wizarding World with brand-new content.
Despite being the best-selling game of 2023, fans of Hogwarts Legacy have always been quick to point out what a wasted opportunity it’s been in terms of DLC and other expansion content.
Take a look at Hogwarts Legacy below.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is rich in history, characters and locations, many of which fans wanted to see brought to Hogwarts Legacy through paid-DLC, though the radio-silence from the developers suggested no such DLC was on the cards.

Now it seems there was a good reason for this. It’s so they could re-release the game via a new Hogwarts Legacy: Definitive Edition, which should scratch the itch of those who were left wanting more.
While unconfirmed at the time of writing, Insider Gaming reports an updated version of the game is on the way.
It’ll feature around 10 to 15 hours of new, never-before-seen content, additional side quests, a new story quest, activities to take part in around the school and its surrounding area (probably not quidditch though), and new outfits.
Of course, the DLC will be sold as a separate game, but if you already own the title, hopefully, you'll be able to upgrade for a slightly reduced cost.

The big question is: Will this tide fans over until Hogwarts Legacy 2 comes out? It feels like a no-brainer to do a sequel given the first game’s success, and if this new and updated version does just as well, Hogwarts Legacy 2 could be more relevant than ever.
Warner Bros has struggled with its video game output recently, with titles like Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League not living up to expectations - though I don’t think you can really go wrong with Harry Potter games, they’re simply too popular to ignore.
