Give this a try on your next playthrough

Fair to say, Grand Theft Auto fans are hungry.

While we may be on the final countdown to GTA VI, it’s still a long way off.

Set to launch between September and November of next year, GTA VI will introduce us to Jason and Lucia, a Bonnie and Clyde-esque duo wreaking havoc in Vice City.

The trailer, which dropped last December, remains the only piece of visual media we’ve got to go on.

Although fans suspect an update may soon land as a Take Two Interactive earnings call is almost upon us.

Wishful thinking? Perhaps, but only time will tell.

A couple of screenshots would certainly be welcomed given that fans have resorted to flipping the trailer horizontally, just to feel like they’ve witnessed something new.

In the meantime, perhaps you’ll allow me to distract you with a very interesting piece of San Andreas trivia.

If you haven’t already watched GTA VI’s trailer a hundred times, then you can enjoy it below.

GTA: San Andreas may have launched back in 2004, but it still seemingly holds a couple of secrets.

In fact, the game has an alternative opening sequence that you’ve likely never experienced.

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t actually need to head to Grove Street straight away.

Reddit user Willing-Juggernaut67 brought this tidbit to our attention, writing, “It suspends the noob cave period. Drug pushers spawn everywhere and you get guns and loot from them. You can work out at Muscle Beach in the Santa Maria area, buy all the houses.”

The user goes on to detail many other things you can do: “Head out to [the] Blueberry area, Catalina's car is usually there. Steal a Firetruck and bring it out there gentle like, or EMT missions until you max them out for health and fireproof bonuses and driving skill. There are food and Sprunk machines.”

“Weapon drops all over the open parts of the map, top off SMG with MP5 from the patio restaurant up the hill from the bribe star north of Jefferson Hotel which has one on the roof. Unity station has one too. If you fly around the outside edge of the map it will all be uncovered. You can survive the 4 star wanted level for a while if you get your skills up.”

Who knew? Certainly not me.

They do say that slow and steady wins the race so next time you load up San Andreas, take the time to get the most out of the game’s opening. There’s clearly a ton of untapped potential.
