It’s December which can only mean one thing. No, not that it’s the first day of opening your advent calendar although that is true as well. If it’s early December, that means we’re in GTA VI trailer territory.
GTA VI is finally on the way with a trailer due to land imminently. If you recall, Rockstar Games took to social media last month to write, “We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto. We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you.” Early December is here. Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards falls on 7 December but Rockstar typically walks its own path. Given the reception to the initial trailer tweet, I don’t think they’re going to necessarily rely on The Game Awards to draw in eyes. The truth is, we don’t know on what day the trailer is coming but that statement alone has fans feeling on edge.
Take a look at this cool Vice City remaster mod, the rumoured setting of Rockstar’s upcoming GTA VI.
“GTA VI trailer month. I’ve survived the journey. 10 f**king years,” wrote one emotional fan on social media. “I and my friends will be there no matter what,” added another, while one fan said, “Hope it will be worth the wait.” Me too, my guy. Me too.

While we may not have the trailer just yet, the internet is rife with leaks and rumours. Fans have been comparing a leaked screenshot to Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA V which shows an immense graphical upgrade. A pre-order date has seemingly also been leaked, so we may be able to reserve our copies of GTA VI sooner rather than later.
One fan has released a bizarre theory that we might not be getting GTA VI at all. In fact, they think that Rockstar is about to drop GTA VIII. All I know is this: the speculation will surely soon end.
