Grand Theft Auto fans have waited a long time for GTA VI, and it's fair to say they're expecting to be able to enjoy the upcoming game for a long, long time.
The first GTA VI trailer impressed fans with its realistic depiction of Florida, bu with so much hype around one little trailer, we have to ask the question: exactly how big will GTA VI be?
If you've been following all things Grand Theft Auto you may know last year Rockstar Games YouTuber Legacy Killa HD came out and made some claims about the length of GTA VI's story. Specifically, they claimed GTA VI will likely be closer to GTA V than Red Dead Redemption 2 in terms of length: around 35-40 hours.

We should take these claims with a pinch of salt, of course, but it is worth noting this particular YouTuber leaked the 'Project Americas' title back in 2019. GTA VI doesn't officially have that branding, but recent gameplay leaks suggest that the new game was internally referred to as such at some point.
Now, I don't think anyone could reasonably argue that a 35-hour story isn't long enough, especially when you consider Red Dead Redemption 2 was maybe just a little too long. It's also worth remembering that Rockstar Games is building a whole-ass open world for us to explore, and this is more than likely where we'll be spending most of our time.
Heck, over on the the game's 6 subreddit fans are convinced GTA VI is specifically being built to last at least ten years. And when you look at how games like GTA Online and Fortnite have thrived, it's not hard to imagine GTA VI getting support for a long, long time.
Basically, however long GTA VI's story ends up being, we all know beyond any real doubt this is a game we'll be playing long after the credits roll.
