GTA 6 fans roasted as 'fresh' trailer releases

We're well overdue a GTA VI update

Grand Theft Auto fans are growing restless, but you can understand why.

It was back in December that Rockstar Games dropped the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI.

Yet here we are, over seven months later, with very little else to fuel our hype.

Rockstar did surface in May to narrow down the game’s release window, announcing that GTA VI would specifically launch in Fall of 2025.

This is, of course, referring to Fall or Autumn in the northern hemisphere so we’re talking from September to November.

Fans are bubbling with anticipation as we speak, convinced that a second trailer is finally on the horizon.

On 8 August, Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, will hold its next earnings call.

In the past, we’ve seen Rockstar time its reveals with these sorts of events; it was certainly the case with Red Dead Redemption 2.

What’s next, I wonder? A dumping of screenshots? That coveted gameplay trailer?

Perhaps Rockstar may reveal absolutely nothing at all.

That won’t satisfy the craving of fans though, who have taken matters into their own hands.

ICYMI: Take a look at GTA VI’s trailer below.

Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, GTA VI fans have attempted to fill their boots by horizontally flipping the original reveal trailer - and they’re getting roasted for their desperation.

“The GTA VI trailer horizontally flipped gives it a completely fresh look,” wrote prominent account GTAVI_Countdown.

“Another way to look at the trailer’s first scene from a different perspective is by removing its pink overtone,” they added.

The user isn’t technically wrong but still, fellow GTA VI fans admit that they’re picking at scraps.

“We are officially going insane,” responded BeskInfinity, garnering thousands of likes.

“This is so down bad bro,” added one user, while another wrote, “This is what happens when people get deprived of a franchise they love for too long.”

Hang in there, my friends. New content will come.

With Fall/Autumn approaching, the one year countdown is almost upon us.
