However, with many fans having waited over a decade for this moment, it is perhaps no wonder that they are not taking any chances when it comes to having the time off to play GTA VI.
In a recent discussion over on r/GTA6, one post read: “What will be your excuse to avoid work, duties, and responsibilities to play GTA 6?”
What followed was over 300 comments with fans revealing their excuses for clearing their schedule later this year.
One comment read, “Nothing, I'll just simply straight up proclaim I've got GTA 6 to play, I'm sure everyone will understand we've been waiting over 10 mfing years... right?

Smack bang 12:00AM midnight release time I'll text everyone "It's been nice knowing you...."”
For MaccDaddyFist, they need no excuses.
“Don't need an excuse,” they wrote.
“I'm a grown man with a love for video games and I work enough to take half a year off if I feel like it.”

However, for CallyRaven, some things are more important.
“Can’t take a day off in my 'job',” they explained.
“I'm a carer for my father, I'll have to hope my (grown up) daughter takes pity on me and lets me have a couple of hours off.
I'm gutted having waited for so long for the game but time with my dad now is precious.”

Whatever your excuse, you had better consider booking that time off now before it’s too late.
