If rumours are to be believed, the release date of GTA VI could clash with a highly (but not yet confirmed) anticipated remake of a beloved classic.
The next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is already on its way to being one of the biggest video games of all time and it’s not even going to be released until the end of this year. That’s unless, of course, it gets delayed which is always likely with Rockstar Games.
Check out the GTA VI trailer below!
Nonetheless, when GTA VI finally graces us with its presence, expect it to be everywhere. Everyone on your friend's list will be playing it, every gaming outlet will be covering it, and it will be popping up on your YouTube recommendations, smacking you across the face like a slaps champion wielding a sloppy cod.

It’s unlikely that any game will be able to compete with GTA VI at launch and I’d assume that most publishers and developers would shiver-me-timbers at the mere thought of releasing during the same window.
However, if there’s one game that might stand a small chance of surviving the goliath that is GTA VI, it could be the rumoured remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
As it stands, GTA VI will be released late this year and according to a rumour, the Black Flag remake could be released around the same time.
I suppose if the remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag were to be released around the same time as GTA VI, at least it would be a very different game and would mostly cater to an alternative audience.

Of course, it’s worth keeping in mind that the rumoured Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake hasn't even been announced and as I mentioned earlier, GTA VI stands a strong chance of being delayed.
Either way, it’s already shaping up to be a great year for video game releases, which is always a good thing and we can’t wait to see how 2025 unfolds.
