Back in September, Rockstar Games suffered a network intrusion which led to early development footage of the next Grand Theft Auto game being accessed and shared online. This leak was huge - it seemingly confirmed the protagonists of the game as well as its location.
It was apparent that the gameplay footage was taken from a very unfinished game, but it still revealed a lot of information to fans, and as reported by Dexerto, people keep uncovering more and more from it. One insider now claims to have discovered a number of player actions in GTA VI, including some options that Red Dead Redemption 2 players will be very familiar with.
Before we get into it, take a look at some of the best wins and fails from GTA V below.
Some of these supposed actions are the same old things from previous GTA games - melee attack and crouch being a couple of examples. Meanwhile though, there are allegedly two options called “buddy comms” and “buddy ping”, which, as Dexerto speculates, could be something to do with the fact that the game seemingly has at least two protagonists.

Additionally, “melee grapple” is an option which'll apparently be included, and while this has never been incorporated in a GTA game before, RDR2 players will remember it well, as they will the cinematic mode travelling option, which allows players to put down their controller while Arthur journeys to his destination and take in the sights. According to the insider, “cinematic mode” is referenced within the GTA VI files, so it sounds like something similar is being worked on for the upcoming title.
Even though it feels like the game is taking forever to come out, the CEO of Take-Two has given good reason for it. In a recent talk with investors, Strauss Zelnick referred to the company as “a hit factory”, and said: “We've had issues - we’ve been around long enough to remember them - where in the past we've had delays in titles, and it was ultimately always worth waiting for, because when we got to the other side, the results were delivered and the small amount of time delay didn't ultimately matter in the context of the results we were able to deliver.”
