To pre or not to pre? That is the question. I believe William Shakespeare asked exactly just before the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, though I could be wrong. History isn't my strongest area.
GTA 6 isn't set to release until 2025 (hopefully early 2025), but fans are already debating whether or not they should pre-order the next big release from Rockstar Games.
Take a look at everything we know about GTA VI below!
On the one hand, GTA 6 already looks absolutely incredible based on what we've seen of it. We also know Rockstar Games is unmatched when it comes to open world experiences. Just look at the quality of Red Dead Redemption 2. On the other hand? Well, pre-ordering big games is an increasingly risky business. Just look at the likes of No Man's Sky, Starfield, or pretty much any Call Of Duty released in the past 10 years.

Over on the GTA VI subreddit, fans are asking whether or not it's wise to pre-order the upcoming game. And while the vast majority seem pretty confident in Rockstar to deliver a product that feels properly finished and thoroughly polished on day one, others are exercising caution.
"Of course, It’s the most anticipated game ever," one user writes. "I’ll 100% be pre-ordering and pre-loading it so I can play at midnight."
Another adds: "Same here, 100%. The whole 'never preorder' thing is quite overstated imo. Even if GTA VI somehow had terrible reviews, there’s no way I’m not playing it for myself - so if I’m gonna buy it anyway, there’s no point in me holding off as soon as it’s purchasable."
Others are less certain, though the decision seems to be less to do with whether GTA VI will be a mess at launch - the overwhelming consensus is it won't be - and more to do with not seeing the point of pre-orders in general.

One user writes: "Why would I? They are not gonna run out of stock."
Given GTA VI doesn't come out till 2025 it'll be a while before we see any pre-order details come through, but I would suspect that Rockstar will smash yet another record as soon as the game is available to purchase.
