As we are now officially in 2025, we can say that Grand Theft Auto VI is finally expected to launch in just a few months.
However, courtesy of a recent update, fans are starting to worry that another delay may be incoming.

So what do we know?

As far as we are concerned, Grand Theft Auto VI is still on track to release in Fall of 2025 and that has been confirmed by Rockstar Games itself.
We have received one official trailer, which was released in December 2023, but since then, there has been no other official look at the highly-anticipated title.
In recent days, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has appeared alongside content creator Conner Mather and it took no time at all for the conversation to turn to the future of the Grand Theft Auto series.
Put simply, Zelnick confirms that Grand Theft Auto VI will be “worth waiting for”.

When asked if he could sum up the game in a few words, he said: "I would say I think it'll be extraordinary and worth waiting for. I think it'll be breathtaking."
Although this could be nothing more than high praise, some fans are worrying that his use of the word “waiting” is alluding to another potential delay.
The conversation kicked off over on r/PS5 and the comments were soon flooded with concern over Zelnick’s comments.
“Delay incoming,” the top comment read.

A fellow user agreed, saying: “I fully believe that’s what’s going to happen, I told my brother that since there hasn’t been a new trailer in over a year.
I fully believe that’s the indication that it’s being delayed until 2026.”
The lack of a trailer seems to be the biggest concern right now as Rockstar Games is remaining suspiciously quiet over recent months.
However, hopefully this means that the studio is hard at work finishing up GTA VI as opposed to getting ready to announce another delay.
