GTA 6 new gameplay pulled offline after fans obsess over every frame

The GTA VI subreddit has removed all leaks after reportedly being issued with a number of copyright strikes from Take-Two Interactive.

Bad news, folks. If you’re one of the many fans who’ve been carefully analysing all the new leaked GTA VI gameplay footage on Reddit lately, that’s now been brought to an abrupt halt.

Once a big leak makes it out there onto the internet, it’s basically impossible to hide it forever. No matter how many copyright strikes a company throws out in an attempt to stop something from spreading, there’s always someone who downloaded the whole thing and can just as easily post it again. That’s exactly what happened with last year’s ginormous GTA VI leak - within a matter of hours, early gameplay footage was everywhere, and even though Rockstar Games took speedy action, certain clips keep popping back up all these months on.

Take a look at what GTA VI might look like when it’s complete with this GTA V Vice City mod.

As Game Rant reports, another sizeable leak from the game has been making the rounds online lately, but Rockstar and Take-Two seem determined to keep this one under wraps - so much so that the GTA VI subreddit has been forced to ban leaks indefinitely to avoid getting banned.

“As you guys know, Reddit has removed quite a lot of posts from our subreddit due to copyright strikes from Take Two,” r/GTA6 moderator GTA6Mods wrote. “We locked the subreddit indefinitely to calm things down and deal with this situation. Going forward, leaks are strictly not allowed in this subreddit. This not only includes posting leaks directly to the subreddit but also linking to any sources which contains the leaked footage. We have to be this careful because we have already got a lot of copyright strikes and if we get any more there's a risk of our subreddit getting banned.”

The moderator confirmed that posting any leaks to the subreddit will result in an instant permanent ban, and users have also been asked not to ask for links to leaks in any threads.

With no official trailer in sight to analyse instead, many fans are disappointed that their fun is over: “I mean this is a smart decision but I’m bummed that this sub is gonna be nothing but s**t speculations all over again,” CopyOnXmas wrote. “Sorry guys, but with that being said this subreddit is officially dead,” bradcbrown92 commented.

Even with these tighter rules in place on the subreddit, it seems unlikely that the leaks will be kept hidden forever. With that said, hopefully fans won't be relying on unofficial footage for much longer to actually see anything of the game.
