It’s another day, which means that it's yet another story of speculation and rumours about the elusive Grand Theft Auto VI.
When Rockstar Games announced that it was working on GTA VI back in February 2022, many would have hoped by now that we’d at least have a release date or trailer. Yet, we’re still left waiting with some fans concerned that we might die before the game is released.
Check out everything we know about GTA VI below!
So far we’ve had to make do with suggestions that we’ll be returning to Vice City in a more modern setting and GTA VI will feature two playable protagonists named Jason and Lucia. Obviously, all rumours and speculation should be taken with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. That being said, I am a firm believer in there being no smoke without fire.

However, in 2022 Rockstar Games panic stations were triggered when an endless stream of leaked Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay spread across the internet. Though, it was clear that this footage was from a very early build.
It’s been about a year since those infamous leaks, but still, fans are discovering a load of new details that could provide further indication of how big the map of GTA VI might be. “33 Seemingly-unnecessary-but-otherwise-neat details that I find in the GTA VI 2022 leaks,” posted Reddit user Limp-Simple4802.

The post is a lengthy one, but I’ve managed to pick out a few of the details that seemingly reveal some locations on the truly massive map. For example, the Reddit user noticed that one of the leaked gameplay videos confirms Little Haiti, a location featured in GTA: Vice City, further implying that we’ll be returning to the Miami-inspired city.
What’s more, they noticed a sign that read ‘North, Bocamar Bridge Yorktown’, which might suggest that GTA VI will feature a brand new town and might not have any resemblance to Miami/Vice City.
Furthermore, a huge mountain was also spotted in the distance with roads that lead to it. As far as we’re aware, unlike later games in the series, GTA: Vice City featured no mountains, which might suggest that gamers will be able to explore the outer city limits for the first time.
Other locations and details that the Reddit user spotted were Vice Beach Plaza, Malibu Club, Ocean View, and South Beach. Which of course, fans of GTA: Vice City may recognise. Finally, during a chase scene in the leaked videos, believed to feature the police in pursuit of Lucia, a small island that includes swamps was spotted as well as another scene with a sports stadium in the background.

At this time, officially we have no indication of when Grand Theft Auto VI will be released, but it is speculated that it will launch between 2024 and 2025. Hopefully, Rockstar Games will put us all out of our misery soon and reveal all.
It’s also likely that GTA VI will be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, leaving last-gen consoles behind.
