It’s a pretty nerve-wracking day for Grand Theft Auto VI fans.
Today, Take-Two Interactive will hold its latest earnings call - which is, of course, the parent company of Rockstar Games.
When the same event was held this time last year, Rockstar Games confirmed that GTA VI’s trailer would be dropping in early December.

Going back further than that, it was on an earnings call day in 2017 that Rockstar Games announced Red Dead Redemption 2’s delay.
All of this is to say that Take-Two earnings calls tend to coincide with major Rockstar announcements.
With GTA VI’s trailer dropping almost one year ago, you can understand why fans are thinking that today might be the day we finally receive an update.
Could it be screenshots? Gameplay? Nothing at all.

To add to the hype, history appears to be repeating itself in more ways than one.

Many were left disappointed by the tweet, hoping instead to see something about GTA VI.
“Rockstar will always disappoint us until they do not,” wrote Reddit user Khorne_Flaked, but there’s no need to be heartbroken.
You see, this mirrors what happened last year.
Last year’s November earnings call also fell on a Wednesday, which is when the first GTA VI teaser tweet dropped.

The day before that, on Tuesday 7 November 2023, Rockstar tweeted about Red Dead Online’s latest update.
So with a Red Dead Online update tweet having landed yesterday, that leaves today open for … you know what I’m thinking.
But, of course, we can’t get too ahead of ourselves.
All of this is to say that all is not lost, so we’ll be keeping a beady eye out - bringing you any updates if they do drop.
