With the goliath that is Grand Theft Auto V and with GTA VI on the way, it might be easy to forget about 2008’s GTA IV starring Niko Bellic.
It might surprise some, that Grand Theft Auto IV is still the highest-rated game in Rockstar Games’ series. According to the aggregate website Metacritic, GTA IV has a godly score of 98, defeating the likes of GTA III and GTA V both with highly respectable scores of 97.

Despite garnering such high scores from critics and fans alike, GTA IV is still perhaps looked upon unfavourably by some and I 100% blame Niko’s annoying cousin, Roman Bellic. Don't get me wrong, I loved GTA IV but being pestered by Roman to go bowling has stained my memory for what is otherwise another boundary-pushing entry from Rockstar Games.

Aside from the annoyance that is Roman Bellic, one of the many standout highlights from GTA IV is its New York-inspired location of Liberty City, which made its triumphant return from 2001's GTA III. For its time, GTA IV pushed the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles to the limits in large part due to the huge and vibrant Liberty City.
While fans will be hoping to see the return of Liberty City in the upcoming GTA VI, we can at least get a heavy dose of wonderful nostalgia thanks to this amazing GTA V mod which brings back the iconic location. Best of all, the mod is free to download.
A stunning gameplay video of the GTA V mod showcasing the returning Liberty City was uploaded to the YouTube channel, INTER. Liberty City has been recreated to immense detail in glorious 4K and photo-realistic visuals, and fans of GTA IV will likely recognise some of its most memorable landmarks.
