For those gamers that are like a Cerberus with a bone, God Of War Ragnarök will take approximately 70 hours to see and do everything in the sequel.
Spoilers for the epic have now hit the Internet and Santa Monica Studio is, understandably, upset. "We are doing our best to limit the exposure of unsanctioned footage and screenshots, but the reality is that we cannot catch everything," said the studio in an announcement, referring to the retailer that sold physical copies of the game ahead of the release date in two weeks time. Ouch.
Obviously, you won't see spoilers anywhere on GAMINGbible, but if you are hankering for a God of War helping, here's the story trailer:
It's a shame, of course, however it is possible to block keywords or hashtags to do with the game and its plot on social media until 9th November. There's a fine line for fans of the franchise as they'll likely want to learn more, but not too much. In an episode of IGN's Podcast Beyond! published on the 27th November covering questions from fans about the upcoming game, community lead Jada Griffin said she's in the middle of a completionist run of Ragnarök and she's racked up about 70 hours so far.

This therefore suggests that the game's length, should you find every collectible, complete every side quest, and secure that sweet 100% number, works out to be at least 70 hours. God of War required about 50 hours if you aimed to 100% the game, and as a result, this seems to line up with what Santa Monica Studio have been saying about the scope of Ragnarök. I wonder how many people will come down with a terrible case of something-itis when 9th November rolls round.
