Using the technological possibilities of Unreal Engine 5, a gaggle of fans and animators have shown us what a God of War 2 remake might look like and the result is magnificent.
God of War 2 (no, not that one) is widely thought to be one of the best games ever made, concluding the blessed era of the PlayStation 2 with blockbuster action, near nonstop combat and bosses that could crush Kratos into dust. It's certainly cherished by fans who have been with the central character since his inception, and while the newer God of War games align with an audience that has grown up, some yearn for the hack and slash of yesteryear.

Teaser Play has had their nose to the grindstone recreating God of War 2 in Unreal Engine 5 and it looks fantastic. These animators have tried their hand at a variety of remakes and fan concepts, from Manhunt 2, Scarface: The World Is Yours, Red Dead Redemption, and The Witcher to a Peaky Blinders open world game. You say it, they've probably remade it.
"Bruh can they just hire these people that blow minds with remakes like duuuude this is insane," said one viewer. "I will give up every dollar in my account to make this happen," added another. Sure, the animation is slightly shaky at points, suggesting that Kratos should grab a fleece and a cuppa before he takes on Zeus, but the environments are something to shout about.

These were the highlight of the original game and the newer ones have played with the scale of the Norse pantheon in similar ways, but nothing comes close to fighting the Colossus at the start of God of War 2.
