It seems a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima is currently in the works, with recent job listings suggesting it’ll include multiplayer.
A follow-up sequel to the critically-acclaimed PlayStation exclusive, Ghost of Tsushima, is seemingly in early development at its developer, Sucker Punch.
While it hasn’t been officially announced by the development team or Sony, its existence is certainly plausible, especially given some recent job listings on Sucker Punch’s career page. The listings also point to the idea that Ghost of Tsushima 2 will include multiplayer in one way or another. Multiplayer isn’t new for the series, as a multiplayer mode, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends was added to the first game as a free update for current players, and purchasable as a standalone title separate from the main game.
A Senior Multiplayer Mission Designer and a Senior Multiplayer Systems Designer role were both advertised on Sucker Punch’s website, calling for designers who have a “passion for pushing creative limits and redefining expectations about what games can be."

The listing went on to say: "A successful candidate will have a passion for building robust, dynamic missions that provide fresh challenge and excitement for rookies and veterans alike. They'll recognize how game design choices impact social dynamics and leverage them to enable great cooperative experiences for all players."
Oddly enough, the job listings have since been taken down, adding credibility to the idea that the sequel is currently in early stages of development and that multiplayer modes will be included in some way.
While Ghost of Tsushima 2’s existence remains a mystery for the time being, it wouldn’t be out of the question for Sony to bring the series back for a sequel, especially given its enormous success amongst both critics and fans. It’s so successful that it’s even getting the big-screen treatment with an upcoming film.
There’s also a chance we’ll see some form of an announcement at an upcoming PlayStation Showcase, which is expected to drop sometime in the next few weeks according to rumours.
