Is there anything more frustrating than pouring hours and hours into a competitive online game and never really seeing any great improvement in your gameplay? Practice makes perfect, of course, but sometimes it can definitely feel like you're just repeatedly slamming your head against a brick wall with no results.
Well, good news - it might not actually be to do with your skill. It seems that a lot of Call of Duty: Warzone console players might have been accidentally nerfing themselves all along, but the community have figured out a really easy fix - as long as you have a PC, you'll be able to do it, too.
While you're here, be sure to take a look at some of the best COD: Warzone wins and fails below.
No, this isn't just an elaborate setup to dunk on console players. Basically, if you've been playing on your TV, you might want to consider switching to a monitor - one Reddit user has been sharing their experience of changing over to a smaller screen, and it almost sounds too good to be true.
"I just got the Gigabyte M28U and I can't give you an exact number to quantify it but I'm already seeing a DRASTIC improvement. I dropped a solo win in Caldera within three games. I'm no longer losing people on the screen, I can beam people from yard with much more ease," wrote fucreddit. "There is just less confusion and choppiness. Everything is smooth[,] players don't pop in and out of existence. I feel like when I lose gunfights now it's legit and not a matter of frame rate robbing me of valuable info[,] and I'm losing a lot less gun fights."
Others in the thread have been in agreement: "This is honestly the easiest and cheapest way to substantially improve your ability. Swapping from a large TV to a monitor has a substantial impact on gameplay. I was around a 1.3KD when I played on a TV and within a couple of months of switching to a monitor I was around a 2KD. You cannot play competitively if you're playing on a large TV," wrote DefunctHunk_COD. "Totally agree. I'm a PC player, but whether you're console or PC, a monitor is a million times better when it comes to input lag, refresh rates and viewing angles," agreed GoodSumaritan6887.
Obviously, if you don't already have a monitor, it's not going to be a cheap fix by any means, but if you want to see some improvement, and fast, people are claiming it's the way to go. Don't blame me if you buy one and it doesn't change much, though - I'm just the messenger.
