This might just be the moment that Star Wars: Force Unleashed fans have been waiting for. Starkiller is undeniably one of the coolest characters out there so naturally, fans are desperate to see him make his live-action debut, whether that be in a TV series or film. The day may finally have arrived, as a teaser for the upcoming Ahsoka series features a mysterious Starkiller-esque figure.

If you don’t know who Starkiller is, allow me to bring you up to speed. Starkiller was born Galen Marek, a force sensitive youngling who was taken by Darth Vader following the murder of his parents during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Vader raised Marek as his own apprentice and personal assassin, with Marek taking on the moniker Starkiller. After many years of service, Marek was betrayed by Vader and left for dead. For now, Starkiller exists in the extended Legends universe, but we do know that Dave Filoni loves to make Legends characters canonical.

Take a look at the trailer for Ahsoka below. The series is set to premiere in August.

A new still has been released, offering a fresh glimpse at the Ahsoka series, The character the still is simply labelled as an Inquisitor, but fans are pretty convinced that it’s Starkiller. Let’s not forget that the series’ main villain is Grand Admiral Thrawn, another character who was originally drafted over from Legends. It stands to reason then that Starkiller could be too. The character in the image is wearing a helmet obscuring their face entirely, but that hasn’t stopped fans from theorising.

Twitter account StarWarsØnly wrote, “Ahsoka vs. Starkiller. Anakin’s Padawan vs. Darth Vader’s apprentice. I see what you’re cooking Dave Filoni,” while robby_weidmann said, “If Starkiller is going to be introduced, might as well make it happen in Ahsoka. Vader’s apprentice vs Anakin’s. COME ON BABY PLEASE.”

Let’s not get too excited though. As some have pointed out, it could be Barriss, Ezra, Mara Jade, the Eleventh Brother … the options are endless and admittedly, I think it’s more likely not to be Starkiller. It’s certainly got me excited for Ahsoka though.
