Final Fantasy XVI’s producer, Naoki ‘Yoshi-P’ Yoshida has politely asked, in a way only Yoshi-P can, that the modding community refrain from creating nude mods for the game when it launches on PC.
It’s inevitable that the smut finds its way to the modding scene, gamers have, perhaps since the inception of Lara Croft, wanted to see game protagonists running around in their birthday suits.
Dragon Quest is looking back to its heyday with a remake of its most popular game in the franchise
In an interview with PC Gamer, Yoshida went ‘dad-style’ and said, “The only thing I will say is that we definitely don't want to say anything offensive or inappropriate, so please don't make or install anything like that.”

That’s fair, after all, Yoshida and his team put years and years into developing a game filled with artistic vision, the last thing they want is Clive loping around sans pants.
However, the modding community is a law unto their own and if they want to see Clive drop trou and swing more than his sword, then they’re going to do it.
Of course, mod websites are going to be filled with weird and wild content ideas. There’s no doubt that Thomas the Tank Engine will make an appearance, and it’s likely some community creator will shoehorn in Tifa or Aerith to adventure with Clive.
Will Final Fantasy XVI become a bevy of topless ladies and men exposed to the natural air? It’s quite likely, despite Yoshi-P asking nicely.

All jokes aside, PC games come with the added bonus of modding and modders will create what the community wants to see.
It’s part of the fun for the PC market. We’re sure to see some smut, but we’ll also see lots of quality-of-life changes, perhaps tweaked visuals, and mods to help smooth the gameplay experience.
Whatever modders create, let’s hope they do Yoshi-P proud and keep his words in mind before pushing out their mods.
