We’re in the midst of a single-player drought when it comes to Fallout.
The multiplayer realm is suffering no such thing though.
Fallout 76 welcomed several chunky updates last year, including the ‘Skyline Valley’ and ‘Gleaming Depths’ expansions.

It’ll welcome its next update on 18 March, and it’s one that’ll finally grant us the opportunity to play as a ghoul.
It was during last year’s Xbox Showcase that Bethesda first teased the ghoul update, with ‘Ghoul Within’ now officially on the way.
And best of all, it coincides with the upcoming Season 20 ‘Glow of the Ghoul’. Double ghoul whammy.
Both events go live on the aforementioned 18 March; ‘Ghoul Within’ will assumedly grant you so much more than the ability to simply play as a ghoul.

That being said, Bethesda is playing its cards close to its chest for now.
The update teases to bring “all the Vault-dweller ghouls to the Wasteland”.
As for Season 20, it’ll introduce new C.A.M.P rewards, including the ‘Unfortunate End’ nuclear waste tank, ‘Mini Nuke Stein’, and ‘Goo-Tub’ - plus you can don the new ‘Yellow Vault-Tec Hazmat Suit’ and ‘Sharpshooter Power Armour Paint’.
And yes, if it was in doubt, I’ve been giggling at the name Goo-Tub.

You can take a look at the new trailer for ‘Glow of the Ghoul’ below.
“Glow of the Ghoul is all about the Ghouls. This theme is for the mutated, the irradiated, the glowing and the feral of the wasteland,” the season’s synopsis reads.
“Even if you’re not going the way of the ghoul, be sure to decorate your C.A.M.P. in the most radiation-ridden and dilapidated way to make all your ghoulfriends feel at home. Toxic waste looks good in any C.A.M.P.”

Of course, the next couple of months will also bring us plenty of the usual events, including the likes of Caps-a-plenty, Scrip Surplus, and Double Mutations.
Bethesda additionally confirmed that the game’s next update beyond ‘Ghoul Within’ will land in June alongside Season 21.
All in all, there’s plenty to look forward to.
