The release of Fallout 5 might be nowhere in sight just yet, but that hasn't stopped fans from getting excited about the next entry in Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG.
We know that Fallout 5 is on the way, after all, alongside The Elder Scrolls, this series is one of Bethesda’s most popular. What’s more, back in June 2022, it was confirmed that Fallout 5 is on the way, but it’s likely to arrive after The Elder Scrolls VI. Speaking of which, that game was officially announced five years ago in 2018 and we still don’t have a scooby-doo about what's going on. Come on Bethesda, do something!

That being said, we don’t know anything about Fallout 5 either, yet fans are still speculating what they’d like to see in the barren wastelands of the Bethesda title, as recently discussed on Reddit, some fans believe that a new territory system could be a game changer.

“Fallout 5 should have a territory system where factions can gain territory radiantly and through player interaction,” said Ironmansbodygaurd, opening up the discussion on the thread. “Let’s say you start the game, an x amount of factions that have Territory on the map. Each end of a chapter involves a territory quest called a battle quest. Once the battle is won that faction gains territory."

“Also, depending on which factions are in control, settlements have different behaviours. For example, I will donate food and water etc,” they continued.“When the epilogue is happening (post the main quest) territory will be attacked by remnants of a faction or multiple factions. If successful a new radiant quest line will start. To make all this happen we will need a map bigger than Fallout 76. I take it Bethesda is gonna make their maps huge from Starfield to TESVI and Fallout 5 from here on out. Thoughts??
“Similar to the GTA San Andreas or Saints Row territory system?” replied a suggestive Hopalongtom. “I agree, with the complete option to go bad. I want to host cults, raiders or something,” added AnotherFreakingNerd. “I want the option to go super bad or super good, a bit like Red Dead Redemption 2 except more impactful.”
“This reminds me of the civil war in Skyrim, having to capture a fort to take a region. Hopefully, if it was implemented into the next Fallout, it would work much better,” reminisced Spyro390.
In related news, Starfield has a horrifying new alien monster that rivals Fallout’s brutal Deathclaws, and a new look at Amazon’s upcoming Fallout series appears online.

When Fallout 5 finally arrives, due to the fact that Microsoft owns Bethesda, it’s pretty much a guarantee that it will be an Xbox Series X|S console exclusive and will not be headed to PS5.
