Fallout 5 be damned, we're getting a brand-new Fallout adventure this year. Better yet, it's actually arriving this month. I can scarcely contain my excitement.
Okay, so technically we're getting two new Fallout adventures. The first is the upcoming live-action series from Amazon, which actually looks pretty amazing. The second is an all-new game that might not be an official release, but looks pretty damn close.
So while the wait Fallout 5 might be killing us, we're getting an entirely new experience when Fallout: London arrives 23 April.
Advert
For those who might not be aware, Fallout: London is a fan-made expansion that uses Fallout 4 to tell an entirely new story set in the English capital. It's so impressive, in fact, that many of the team have since been hired by Bethesda. So like I said earlier, not official, but the closest we're getting to a new Fallout game until Fallout 5.
"As a divergence from previous official titles in the series, Fallout: London is not set in America," the team explains. "Visiting a totally new setting allows for us to explore totally new cultures which have not homogenized with their American counterparts. It also allows us to explore pre-war European history, and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class structured society of pre-war Britain."
The game's original map will allow you to explore 15 London boroughs as you experience an entirely original story. There are also hundreds of new weapons, armour sets, enemies, buildings, side quests, characters, and secrets.
Fallout: London was delayed last year because of Starfield, but now a release date is finally in sight. As the only new Fallout launching around the Amazon series, there's a big chance this mod could absolutely blow up. In a good way, to be clear, not in a "oh god that mushroom cloud is getting closer" kind of way.
