Unless you’re playing a game with a detailed guide, it’s likely that you’ll miss something in a big, open-world RPG.
Even games you’ve played repeatedly, can have you missing out certain items, locations, or characters in the vast maps, much like in the Fallout games.
Fallout 4 is filled with hidden details and tucked away loot
One player, who has been replaying Fallout 4 over the years, discovered a hidden loot spot they’ve missed several times.

Highlighting their discovery on Reddit, they showcased a crashed plane named Skylines Flight 1981, and a hidden compartment in the body of the plane.
They were shocked that they’d never found this compartment before, despite visiting the area several times.
“Didn’t know that either…” said TheHitmanMaul.
“No way… I’ve done at least 10 play through and never ever noticed,” exclaimed another Redditor.

It turns out, there’s actually a quest tied to this plane, and its loot. Much like locations and items, it’s even simple to miss out on quests, too.
“There is a quest tied to it,” explained fly_guy1, who continued, “If I recall, it's a friendly gunner recruiting a merchant to drive off raiders. She has the key.”
In the replies, it was revealed this is actually a random encounter in the area, so it’s easily missed by players.
Another player breaks down how they met the lady in question, saying, “I found her just outside Diamond City. I exited the city and turned left. She approached me just past the abandoned place with the red door.”

The lady who gives the quest “has the key to that box, you can kill her and keep everything to yourself,” explains Practical_Patient824.
The original player didn’t detail what was in the loot cache, so if you want to know what’s in there, you’ll have to find out for yourself.
Either finish the quest, pick the master lock, or slay the quest giver, and the loot is yours.
