One user on Twitter has noticed something rather upsetting in regards to The Elder Scrolls VI’s teaser trailer, and I don’t think you folks are going to be particularly happy to hear this one.
User @himynameisdagan has set Twitter into doom spiral mode this morning, after they published a quote tweet reply to the teaser trailer for Bethesda’s upcoming The Elder Scrolls VI that simply read “The Elder Scrolls VI announcement is now older than Skyrim was when this got announced.”
And, yup, that math checks out. Jeez, this game isn’t gonna come out before 2023 is it?

Over on the r/ElderScrolls subreddit, fans had less than happy reactions to the news.
“Still don’t understand why they bothered to tease tes6 when they weren’t even working on it,” commented user Demon_666999.
“I would rather they had just not teased it at all, released starfield, then when they were actually working on it and somewhat close to being done then they release the teaser.”
“Honestly it is a f**king scandal,” replied user notarackbehind.

“What the hell happened in the ps4 generation? Just an immense ballooning in development time for frankly nowhere near enough improvements. An elder scrolls with fallout 4/76 graphics should’ve been out half a decade ago.”
I think we all concluded a long, long time ago that Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls VI way too early, but the lack of updates on Bethesda’s behalf is starting to get kind of annoying at this point.
A screenshot, some concept art, or even just a Tweet saying “hey, we’re still working on it!” - anything would satiate people. But instead, they’re just rolling out more updates for Starfield, a game nobody is playing any more.
So, what is Bethesda so busy doing that they couldn’t possibly dedicate five spare minutes to updating us on the next Elder Scrolls title? Well, uh, speaking of Starfield…
