Despite being announced over six years ago, we still do not know when The Elder Scrolls VI will be released but during its announcement all those years ago, a secret may have been hiding in plain sight.
It’s a common opinion that Bethesda may have announced The Elder Scrolls VI way too early and fans believe that the publisher should have held off. Because, not only do we not know its release date, but we’ve not even seen any gameplay or what story it will tell.
Check out The Elder Scrolls VI announcement trailer below!
The chances are that The Elder Scrolls VI might end up being a next-gen release but fans will no doubt hope to see it released this generation on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and, of course, on PC.

Reddit user SWATyouTalkinAbout and devoted fan of The Elder Scrolls VI has conducted a 200-hour deep dive investigation and believes to have uncovered the location of the next entry of the ever-popular fantasy RPG series. Before now, some fans believed that High Rock and Hammerfell were teased in Starfield years ago.
However, before The Elder Scrolls VI may or may not have been teased in Starfield, by examining the announcement trailer from E3 2018 and documents from 2020, and using the position of the sun (I kid you not), SWATyouTalkinAbout believes that the upcoming title will be set on the island of Yokuda.
In a couple of YouTube videos accompanying a long Reddit thread, SWATyouTalkinAbout believes they have “legit proof” that The Elder Scrolls VI will be taking place on the island of Yokuda. This island is located far west of Hammerfell and High Rock and is said to be the homeland of the ancient civilisation, the Redguard.
Of course, no matter how impressive this investigation is, it can still be considered a theory, despite providing evidence as to why the Reddit user believes that The Elder Scrolls VI will be set in Yokuda. That being said, it might be a safe assumption to make that the highly anticipated sequel could be set in any of the three locations mentioned in this article.
