Elder Scrolls 6 Publisher Drops Limited-Time Freebie to Tide us Over

Deep sales also included

Bethesda has just dropped a limited-time freebie to play over the weekend, and it should help with the wait until The Elder Scrolls VI.

Fans are patiently awaiting for new information regarding the next Elder Scrolls game, but it seems like we’ll still be waiting a little while until that becomes a reality.

However, at least we’ve got reasons to revisit Tamriel in Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind for the time being. And now Bethesda is dropping a new freebie into our laps to bide our time until The Elder Scrolls VI.

This weekend, Bethesda fans have the opportunity to play The Elder Scrolls Online for free for an extended period of time.

The game is available to play for free between now and 12th August, meaning you’ll have up to five days of freedom to check the MMO out, explore Tamriel, and complete quests with other players.

If you’d like to play The Elder Scrolls Online after these five days are up, it’s currently on sale for 75% off, meaning it’s actually only £3.99 at the moment, which is cheaper than the price of a cup of coffee.

Bethesda is promoting this during QuakeCon 2025, which is currently ongoing this week. It also comes with some deep discounts and promotions for other Bethesda games at the same time.

For example, Doom: The Dark Ages is on sale for 25% off. That sounds like a good bargain, considering the game only came out in May.

Various Elder Scrolls and Fallout games are also on sale, so you can get classics like Skyrim, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas for dirt cheap too.

I’d certainly recommend checking out Deathloop and the Dishonored series, as both are also on a massive discount at the moment. If you enjoy stealth games, you can’t go wrong with these titles.
