Plenty of gamers consider Elden Ring to be an absolute masterpiece, but that doesn't mean it's been completely free from criticism.
FromSoftware's open-world RPG has generated more than its fair share of discourse over the last two months. There have been discussions about the game's UI, its difficulty, and exactly how approachable it is for new players.
Check out some of the funniest Elden Ring messages below!
One of the more common Elden Ring complaints is in regards to its tutorial section, the Cave Of Knowledge. At the start of the game (after you're killed by the Grafted Scion and awake underground), you have two options: You can head up and out the door t start your adventure, or drop down a hole on your right to begin a brief tutorial.

Many critics have pointed out this tutorial is actually incredibly easy to miss, largely because of the fact that most gamers have spent their entire lives being taught that falling down holes in video games is bad.
While there are some signifiers as to the hole being a safe place to drop down into, including a ghost that literally points towards it and a message that explains what's down there, many argue it just wasn't clear enough.
FromSoftware has clearly heard this criticism loud and clear. As part of the game's substantial patch 1.04, new Elden Ring players are now greeted with a large message that appears on the screen as they approach the tutorial area.
"Jump down the hole ahead, and you will find the Cave of Knowledge," the message explains. "There, you can learn more about game controls and basic actions, as well as other tips that may be helpful during your adventures in the Lands Between."

You can't really make it any clearer than that, can you?
