I'm a simple man. I like Elden Ring. I like Skyrim. You put the two of them together, and I'll be pretty damn happy.
That's probably why I'm so obsessed with Dragon's Dogma 2 at the moment, and why I gave it 10/10 in my review earlier this week. It's also why I now have my beady eye on my next open-world passion.
Take a look below!
Digital Extremes, the developer of Warframe, has released a shiny new gameplay trailer for its upcoming open-world MMORPG Soulframe. While it's looking a little rough around the edges right now, it's worth noting the game is in alpha. Oh, and it'll be a free-to-play experience.

As you probably gathered from the latest trailer, Soulframe is a fantasy RPG in the vein of classics like Skyrim and Elden Ring, with a focus on open-world exploration and co-op gameplay. There's also lots of lovely, chunky combat that looks like it takes its cues from Dark Souls, which is always a massive win in my book.
“With Soulframe’s worldbuilding and thematic elements, we are really looking to go back to our childhood favorites like Never Ending Story and those elaborate fantasy worlds,” said Soulframe Creative Director Geoff Crookes back when the game was first announced.
“Our team has a fond love for Miyazki and Princess Mononoke where there are recurring concepts of nature and humanity colliding and we’ll be exploring a lot of those themes through our own lens while playing with ideas of restoration and exploration.”
You can currently sign up for Soulframe, though I should stress there's currently no ETA on when the next playtests will be available, or even when the game will properly launch.
