Elden Ring's long-awaited first major expansion may finally have a release date, and it's much closer than we'd dared hope.
We've been eager to return to the Lands Between ever since FromSoftware announced Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree back in February this year. It's been a long old wait, however, not helped by the fact we've had no new details on the project for coming up to a year. Until now, at least.
Take a look at the amazing trailer for this Elden Ring: Reforged mod below!
As spotted on Reddit, online retailer Datablitz accidentally uploaded details of a new partnership between Elden Ring publisher Bandai Namco and controller and accessory manufacturer Thrustmaster. It would appear Thrustmaster is working on some new Elden Ring themed hardware, but that's not the most interest part of the leak.

The promotional material, which has since been purged form the internet, claimed the first lot of controllers would be released in February 2024 to "sync with the new Shadow of the Erdtree expansion release".
While it seems slightly odd FromSoftware would drop Shadow Of The Erdtree in two months' time with no warning and a year of silence, if anyone could pull off a Beyonce and go full Lemonade with their expansion, it's FromSoftware. February 2024 would also mark two years since the launch of Elden Ring, so it makes sense.
But that's not all, my handsome friends. The leak goes on to reveal two controllers inspired by Malenia and Ranni which, according to Thrustmaster, are to be released with a "2025 Elden Ring major key beat or new game expansion". In other words, Shadow Of The Erdtree might not be the only expansion, which is absolutely thrilling.
For now we'll just have to wait and see. I highly doubt FromSoftware and Bandai will announce anything before the end of the year, but we've still got a few more weeks for them to let us know what's going on. Watch this space.
