Elden Ring is back at the forefront of our minds now that the trailer for the upcoming DLC has dropped. But it isn’t just how breathtaking the expansion looks that has us talking, it’s the knowledge that our characters are going to die. A lot.
Everyone has been talking about the new “Malenia 2.0” boss – and rightly so – but there’s another boss we’re even more concerned about. For those not well versed in FromSoftware games, every boss is alarming, but this specific one is Elden Ring’s worst.
You really need to watch the full gameplay trailer for Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree to really understand what you're up against.
Dubbed “Fire Giant 2.0: Fierier Giant”, this boss is going to bring a whole new meaning to a world of pain. The Fire Giant is already the cause of most players’ nightmares, but this new version promises to haunt your dreams mercilessly.

“I can’t wait to repeatedly die to this thing,” declared one fan who knows all too well that death awaits their character multiple times when facing this beast. Another said, “That's the only part of the trailer where I was like ‘oh hell no’. But that's never gonna stop me from playing the DLC 156 times.”
We do so admire dedication to continuous pain… from afar, in safety and comfort. Of course, many of us here at GAMINGbible will be facing this new fiery monstrosity once the DLC is here, so our safety will be short-lived.
“I don't think I've ever screamed louder than losing to that asshole for two weeks straight,” reminisced a fan when thinking back on their battles with the Fire Giant. “It was always either right before I finally got him, or he killed me in some crazy stupid move that should def not kill me.”

Well, buckle up because we’re going to face those hardships once again. There’s still a slight wait on our hands before Shadow of the Erdtree launches, which does mean we can prepare. However, we suspect no amount of prep will fully ready us for what’s to come.
We’d wish you all luck, but luck has nothing to do with this. We’re doomed.
