Season 2 brought lots of big changes to the game after many players found the first season to be a little disappointing. Player counts began to drop and Blizzard certainly noticed. Season 2 brings with it changes to class builds, a better path for levelling up your characters and another balance tweak for the game's difficulty.
Blizzard have been doing everything in their power to keep fans playing, including adapting every unique item in the game to feel more impactful and create "moments of excitement upon dropping". The developer has been open and honest with the community about what is working and what has fallen short and this trial gives them a chance to prove that with a large number of players.
Another very welcome addition for Diablo 4 in season 2 was it's addition to Steam and Steam Deck verification, meaning players could feel confident in the performance of the game on the Steam handheld.
Word among the community is that this season feels like a step in the right direction for the ARPG, so it's a great time to jump in.
