The world is seeing a full Cyberpunk 2077 resurgence. Following the release of the excellent Netflix anime, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, as well as some much-needed updates to the game, player numbers have been soaring, and people are actually excited for the Phantom Liberty expansion and sequel.
Just in case that wasn’t enough though, it’s now been confirmed that R. Talsorian Games and CD Projekt Red are working on a Edgerunners-themed tabletop game set called the Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit. There’s not currently a release date for it, but rest assured it’s in development, and will tie in to the existing Cyberpunk RED roleplaying game.
Take a look at the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion below.
“Made in conjunction with CD PROJEKT RED using the Cyberpunk RED tabletop roleplaying game engine, the Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit will come with everything players need to adventure in the Night City setting of the hit Netflix series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners,” R. Talsorian Games announced. “The box set will include essential rules as well as lore about the Dark Future, Night City, the Edgerunners team, and more!

“The Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit will guide fans of the series new to tabletop roleplaying through the process of telling their own stories in Night City. At the same time, existing players of Cyberpunk RED will get their first glimpse into the cyberware, firepower, and netrunning skills of the 2077 era.”
If you’re interested in Cyberpunk lore and haven’t checked out RED, it sounds really cool - it’s set before the events of the video game, in 2045. Speaking of lore, Cyberpunk 2077 players are currently trying to work out one of the game’s last secrets, centring around the mysterious statue on Union Street. The game’s quest director has confirmed that there’s something going on there, but no one’s quite sure what - for now.
