Cyberpunk 2077's massive Phantom Liberty expansion is available early for certain gamers, and the initial reviews are extremely positive.
For those not keeping up, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is the long-awaited paid expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. Among other things, it adds a totally new story, a huge new area to explore, and completely overhauls and fine-tunes almost every aspect of the base game.
Take a look at the expansion in action below!

I actually went hands-on with the expansion back in June, and came away hugely impressed. "Phantom Liberty is shaping up to be the victory lap that Cyberpunk 2077 deserves," I wrote at the time.
"It’s a massive expansion that promises to be filled with engaging new stories and surprising adventures, and I can’t wait to dive back in and discover them all. If the quality of the rest of the expansion is as consistently high as what I experienced, then it’s safe to say Cyberpunk 2077 is going out with a bang. And who ever thought that would happen?"
The good news is I'm clearly not the only one who thinks this. Phantom Liberty is currently on tour, coming to select cities around the world and giving players an extended chance to get their hands on the game.
The first leg of the tour kicked off in Warsaw last week, and initial social media chatter from those who got some time with the expansion is incredibly encouraging.

The main takeaway is that Phantom Liberty is absolutely huge, and goes above and beyond anything you'd expect from a DLC. Fans report improved AI, re-worked graphics, and much better balance overall. Lots of praise was given to Dogtown, the new area of Night City that fans can explore.
You'll also be glad to know players report Phantom Liberty feels much more "alive" compared to the base game. At launch, at least on consoles, Cyberpunk 2077 felt pretty dead. Janky NPCs and small crowds of the same character models in what was supposed to be a crowded metropolis all-too frequently reminded you you were playing a video game. Not so in Phantom Liberty.
