CD Projekt Red has just announced that Cyberpunk 2077 is finally getting ported to Apple Macs, which is undoubtedly incredible news for all six people who use a Mac as their gaming system of choice.
Alright jokes aside, it does actually seem like a lot of people are pretty happy about this news - at least if all of the comments on the Twitter post announcing the Mac port are anything to go by.
“Finally, a reason to upgrade my Mac!” commented user @Dhanush_Nehru. “Can’t wait to dive into Night City with my favorite cybernetic friends. Just hoping my laptop can handle all that neon chaos without turning into a toaster!”

"My M3 Max is READY!!!!!" replied @Hovscorpion12. "All 128GB of RAM ready" (alright mate jeez, save some RAM for the rest of us).
The press release for the announcement also seems to promise that this version of the game will be just as impressive as what’s available elsewhere on current-gen hardware.
“Cyberpunk 2077 and its spy-thriller expansion Phantom Liberty will be coming to Mac. Taking full advantage of Apple silicon and advanced technologies of Metal, the world of the dark future is available to Mac gamers for the very first time.”
“Players can enjoy advanced features like path tracing, frame generation, and built-in Spatial Audio for even more immersive gameplay and stunning visuals.”

As of now, CD Projekt Red has only revealed that the Mac port will be dropping “early next year”. There was one other little detail fans were pretty happy about, however.
The press release stated that the Cyberpunk 2077 Mac port “will launch on the Mac App Store, GOG.com, Steam and Epic Games Store” - which means that those who already own it won’t have to pay extra to play the game on their shiny new Macs.
