In a surprise turn of events, the universe of Cyberpunk 2077 is about to make yet another appearance following the announcement of a very cool cameo.
Let’s start with a bit of context.
Inspired by the world of Cyberpunk 2077 created by CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was a 2022 anime series and prequel to the hit RPG.

Check out the official trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners below!
It told the story of a gang of mercenary outlaws known as Edgerunners who did what it took to survive in a city obsessed with technology and body-modification.
In amongst a story of corruption and hopelessness, it also showed us the budding romance of David and Lucy as they discussed their plans to go to the moon together.

It is Lucy, a netrunner and deuteragonist of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, that is set to make an appearance in a completely non-related project.
That’s right, Lucy is set to become a character in Guilty Gear Strive, a fighting game developed by Arc System Works.
Released in 2021, its fourth season is set to be announced as part of Evo 2024 and will feature the game’s first collaboration.
Teaming up with CD Projekt Red means that Lucy will become a playable character and will be accessible via Guilty Gear Strive’s brand-new three-on-three team battle mode.

Played online or with three friends on each team, this mode will add a new lease of life to the fighting game when its fourth season arrives soon.
Lucy will be introduced alongside three additional characters.
This includes two returning characters from the Guilty Gear franchise; Dizzy and Venom as well as a brand-new character known as Unika who is reportedly from the upcoming Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers anime.
Evo 2024 will kick off on 19 July so we can expect to hear more information and maybe our first look at Guilty Gear Strive’s interpretation of Lucy then.
