Cyberpunk 2077 new Lifepath is your perfect excuse to replay the game

Genuinely baffled as to how they managed to pull this off

A new mod for Cyberpunk 2077 adds something to the game that most assumed was impossible: a brand new fourth Lifepath option that combines both the Corpo and Nomad Lifepaths.

CD Projekt RED are probably getting sick of getting asked to add a new Lifepath option to Cyberpunk 2077 at this point, considering all the work that would require.

After all, your choice of Corpo, Streetkid or Nomad ties directly into the choices and dialogue for the entire game, so adding a fourth option would clearly require a lot of work. I mean the more I think about it, would adding something like that, retroactively, even be possible?

Well, turns out, yeah, Deceptious over on Nexus Mods has done exactly that with their mod New Lifepath Intro - Fresh Start.

So how does something like this even work, and what exactly does this new path look like?

According to Deceptious, the mod combines both the Corpo and Nomad Lifepath options to turn V into something new entirely: someone who is, as the mod title implies, looking for a Fresh Start.

“Featuring a new intro/scenes, before the Half Year Montage, where the Corpo/Streetkid/Nomad lithpaths have their Arasaka Tower/Coyote Cojo/Border Town intros”, Deceptious writes in the Mod description.

“As both an ex-corpo and ex-nomad, V has access to both lifepaths options/choices during the story/game.”

It seems they’ve managed to pull off integrating this into the full game pretty seamlessly too, as the users are mostly just baffled as to how they managed to even pull this off in the first place.

“Wow, I never would've imagined something like this possible”, writes user BlackRelic27.

“You just keep impressing man, thanks so much for all these new toys to play with.”

“Well I'll be damned. Never thought I'd see the day”, replied user someguynamedjoe.

“I know what I'm doing for my next playthrough.”

Honestly I still can’t believe this is possible either. Guess I’m gonna have to give it a go for myself… not that I really needed an excuse to play through the game again.
