You read the headline, my chooms.
Cyberpunk 2077 has returned in a brand new DLC expansion, but it’s - perhaps unexpectedly - not an expansion actually for Cyberpunk 2077.
Nope, instead fans wishing to return to Night City will have to do so via Balatro.

‘Have to’ is perhaps the wrong choice of phrasing though, because Balatro is easily one of the year’s very best games so if a Cyberpunk 2077 crossover is what finally draws you in, that’s a major win in my book.
In our review of Balatro, GAMINGbible’s Dan Lipscombe wrote, “Even as I’m writing this review all I want to do is close my laptop and play more Balatro. I want to take down those bosses, earn big banks, and completely destroy this card game. While this isn’t a perfect game, it’s one that will stay in my playing rotation for many months to come.”
If you don’t know, Balatro is essentially a poker-inspired roguelike deck builder, but don’t be intimidated by that.
It’ll teach you the ropes of its gameplay.

The final countdown to Dragon Age: The Veilguard is on.
If you’re a fan of the game, you may remember the Friends of Jimbo update which added decks to the game inspired by the likes of The Witcher, Vampire Survivors, Dave The Diver and Among Us.
Well, now, the Friends of Jimbo Pack 2 has arrived.

Once again, this is a free update introducing a number of crossover cards, this time inspired by Cyberpunk 2077, The Binding of Isaac, Stardew Valley, and Slay The Spire.
Yes, that means you can add a Johnny Silverhand king card to your deck.
In total, this latest update pack introduces 12 new cards and it’s available across PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile.
It’s far from being the only DLC we’ll get for Balatro with developer LocalThunk having confirmed that new ideas and strategies will be brought in in future updates.

For now though, we’ll enjoy the addition of some familiar faces to an already brilliant game.
