The fan-made Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer mode is “coming along nicely” according to its developers after releasing an updated gameplay preview to their Youtube channel.
As beloved as Cyberpunk 2077, fans have been calling out for the CD Projekt RED RPG to feature a multiplayer mode.
In the meantime, check out the next-gen update launch trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 below!
Whether or not CDPR will take this on board for Cyberpunk 2 remains to be seen but for now, the possibility of teaming up with friends in Night City is only possible courtesy of CyberMP.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer mod is currently in development and although it is not yet available to download, its creator has recently released an update showing eager fans how the project is coming along.
“Hello everyone, there has been no news for a long time, but this does not mean that the work was not carried out!” CyberMP wrote on Youtube back in December.
“On the contrary, I focused more on development so as not to waste time chatting. I managed to fix a lot of bugs, make a lot of improvements and add new features.”
This update comes alongside a 3-minute video showcasing the brand-new features that will come alongside the multiplayer mod.

CyberMP has been working on vehicle sync, building core game mechanics, adding a communication and user interface such as implementing voice chat, a time and weather sync, and a brand-new launcher, as well as technical enhancements.
The end of the video is dedicated to seeing some of the PvP action where players will be able to come together and fight to the death in the streets of Night City.
According to the creator, the mod will now allow players to experience the Cyberpunk 2077 story together but is instead focused on allowing up to 1,000 players to just play around in-game.
Over on r/gaming, one user said: “Yes. Can’t wait to start an RP server.”

Whilst another added: “Looks like a lot of fun. It’s weird that devs did not release this already, but I guess a mod is ok.”
Hopefully it won’t be long before the mod is released to the public.
