With players diving into the new Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Update this weekend, many eagle-eyed fans have noticed some of the new additions, including a new mini game hidden within.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 released on 21 September and brought with it a whole new overhaul to the base game. With an AI overhaul, new skill trees and the addition of vehicular combat just to name a few, fans are feeling like the game is finally complete. This is a big feat considering the game was less than ready at launch back in 2020. However, the CD Projekt Red team has been hard at work with improvements ahead of the game’s first and only expansion, Phantom Liberty, launching on September 26.

Until then, fans are exploring all the new features Night City has to offer and this includes an in-game arcade shooter. The game, titled Arasaka Tower 3D, is seemingly modelled after classic shooters such as DOOM and Wolfenstein 3D and sees you play as Johnny Silverhand himself. Based on his escapades in 2023, you are tasked with escaping Arasaka Tower after setting up a bomb. In classic retro fashion, you can only aim ahead as you take down those trying to stop you escape.

The arcade game can be found in an abandoned church in the Night City badlands. Head south of your map and look for the Protein Farm fast travel point, and you will find it just north of there. The arcade game has stood the test of time and is all that remains in the church. So, if you missed playing as Johnny Silverhand, you now have the perfect opportunity to do so again. In a 90s shooter fashion anyway.
This is just one of many small but impactful additions to Cyberpunk 2077 courtesy of its 2.0 Update. This comes alongside a phenomenal new ending for V and Johnny and even a heartfelt tribute to Cyberpunk Edgerunner’s very own David Martinez.
