Cyberpunk 2077 combined with 100+ mods creates a visual feast for the eyes, making Night City look more realistic than ever.
The road to redemption has been long and arduous for Cyberpunk 2077. The game received an extraordinary amount of backlash on launch, which CD Projekt Red believes to have been exaggerated, and has since been admitted to the New York Museum of Failures. However it’s slowly clawed its way back up to notoriety, with several updates as well as an upcoming DLC expansion, Phantom Liberty.

While the DLC will take players to a new location, Dog Town, and introduce us to a variety of new characters and gameplay mechanics, the modding community has been hard at work improving the base game. A recent graphical showcase video has demonstrated the phenomenal work of the talented modders, showing what Cyberpunk 2077 looks like while it runs over 100 graphic overhaul mods.

The results are damn-near perfection, and we’d argue it unlocks the full, untapped potential of the open-world game and what it’s capable of. Everything from the lighting, textures, and fidelity of the world around the player looks incredible, and combined with the abundance of NPCs going about their day adds to the realism of the game.
For context, the gameplay is running on a AMD Ryzen 9 7950X with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, as well as the Path Tracing Overdrive Superpopulation Mod. The full offering makes Night City feel alive, and adds new depth to traversal, as well as combat encounters.
If your PC is capable of handling it, we’d whole-heartedly suggest running some of these pods yourself while you play for the best experience.
Cyberpunk 2077 continues to improve, on PC and console, especially with the upcoming DLC expansion. CD Projekt Red are reportedly working on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 as well, which is said to utilise Unreal Engine 5, so one can only wonder how detailed the next game will look whenever it launches.
