Cyberpunk 2077 fans delighted by new release

Don't miss it

Cyberpunk 2077 fans are being treated to a new release that expands upon one of the series’ most beloved stories.

While it’ll be a long while before CD Projekt RED ever releases something like Cyberpunk 2077 again, the series is still very much alive with fans replaying the first game and, of course, soaking up all the spin-off content it spawned.

Arguably the best thing the Cyberpunk series ever produced was Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which ran for one season only but made a huge impact in the little time it had.

Fans have been begging for a second season, or at the very least another spin-off series in the same style, of Edgeunners.

While there’s no word on a new animation, the series has continued in the form or a manga, simply titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS.

The first chapter of the manga was released last year with the promise of the full volume being released by the end of 2025.

Staying true to its word, the second chapter is now available to enjoy in a variety of languages, much to the delight of fans.

It’s available online with a physical edition probably coming later, either way it’s a big win for the fans.

The plot synopsis of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS reads: “As they go about their daily lives, the mysterious Safran appears before them — changing the trajectory of their future. In this manga, a prequel to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, siblings Rebecca and Pilar's lives are full of madness as they rush through Night City to prove themselves as edgerunners!”

If there was ever a reason to bring back the anime, this could be it, as an animated version of this prequel would not only scratch the itch fans have for more Cyberpunk content, but also ensure the ending of the show isn’t ruined in any way.
