Finding an Easter egg and nods to other franchises in video games can become a little moment of understanding between fans and developers. However, with no way of knowing how many are actually included in a title, it can take years to find them all.

That is seemingly the case for titles such as Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 after a segment in the recent official CD Projekt RED podcast, AnsweRED, revealed that there are still some Easter eggs that are yet to be discovered.

In a conversation between studio narrative lead Marcin Blacha and The Witcher 4 director Sebastian Kalemba, talk soon turned to how Easter eggs are added throughout development.
“If we're talking about Easter eggs and all those tiny, funny things in the game, the thing is that you cannot really plan it. It's not like we have a list of Easter eggs and we make them,” Blancha explained.
"Let's say you're making a game and it's, like, the fourth year. You are really tired and then you have this idea and you cannot stop yourself from making it. That's how Easter eggs in our games start. Sometimes this idea is so good that some other people join you and something spectacular emerges."
"To be honest, my favourite of those tiny little funny things, those Easter eggs, are still a secret. As far as I know, they are not discovered yet. They're really, really tough to discover, so I won't talk about them."

Going by this revelation, there are still undiscovered Easter eggs hidden within a CD Projekt RED title. This could mean Cyberpunk 2077 or The Witcher 3 but with secrets to uncover, there is no doubt die-hard fans will be searching for them.
Recently, Cyberpunk 2077 fans discovered a GTA: San Andreas Easter egg so it remains to be seen what else is hidden within the streets of Night City.
