The release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is right around the corner. The sequel to the free-to-play battle royale Warzone is set to release on 16 November, right alongside Modern Warfare II’s first season.
The lobby size for the new game has finally been confirmed, and it’s…exactly the same as the original game’s size (at launch, anyway). So that’s not too surprising, but anyway, good to know. As Game Rant reports though, a prominent Call of Duty leaker has now claimed that a fan-favourite feature may also be making a return.
Before we get into it, take a look at some new gameplay footage from Modern Warfare II below.
On Twitter, @TheGhostOfHope tweeted: “You can get a nuke in Warzone 2.0.” Immediately, fans assumed that this is in reference to the killstreak reward first introduced in the original Modern Warfare 2 back in 2009. In that game, anyone who managed to rack up 25 kills without getting themselves killed were rewarded with the nuke, which gave them an instant win (this isn’t the case in all games, however).
In more recent titles, like Black Ops - Cold War and Modern Warfare (2019), 30 kills were required to get the reward, so presumably, if this claim is true, it’ll be the same in Warzone 2.0 - very reasonable when you consider how powerful it is. At the time of writing it’s not been officially confirmed, but with it being less than a week until launch, we really don’t have too long to find out if it’s true.

On 16 November, it’s been confirmed that the Modern Warfare (2019) map Shoot House will be added to Modern Warfare II, in a new reimagined form. What’s more, the classic map from CoD 4, Shipment, will also be making its grand return at some point during season one.
