A bunch of gameplay footage from Battlefield 6’s closed Battlefield Labs test has leaked online, and it looks like Battlefield might have finally got its groove back.
News of the leak was first published by TheGamer's George Foster, and the source of the footage seems to be a Twitch streamer by the name of anto_merguezz.
Obviously, no footage from the closed Battlefield Labs test was supposed to find its way onto the internet, but even though the streamer in question seemingly scrubbed the videos as soon as they realised this, it was too late.

That being said, it might be a bit of a blessing in disguise for EA.
While the footage does show a few cracks here and there, as is to be expected for a game that is essentially in pre-alpha, fans over on the r/battlefield subreddit are absolutely thrilled with the direction the game is going.
“Even in the Alpha stage right now it looks real solid. Cant wait for the final stages of the game, but right now it looks promising,” commented user Ce3DubbZz.
“Actual camera view POV for squadmates with static effects like in BF4. Thank the Lord they finally brought that back,” replied user eggydrums115.

“It's hard to believe this already looks more well designed and polished than 2042 even this early in development. The squad animation at the end looked great, the UI is headed in a good direction. Heard the same ping for ready to spawn from 2042 in there!”
Given the absolute mess that was Battlefield 2024’s launch, I’m sure EA is happy to hear that fans are already on board with Battlefield 6 at such an early stage.
Here’s hoping that they take their time learning as much as they can from the closed alpha, so that this Battlefield is actually playable at launch for a change.
