A massive update for Battlefield 2042 is now live for all platforms, and it adds so many changes and fixes to the game.
Battlefield 2042 was for lack of a better word, a mess, it was riddled with bugs and issues at launch and while these problems have been ironed out with plenty of updates, the game’s false start definitely hurt it in the long run.

That being said, Battlefield is Battlefield, and if you’re looking for a large-scale online first-person shooter to play with friends, Battlefield 2042 is a perfectly fine option.

It’s also included in EA’s subscription service, a subscription to which is automatically included with Xbox Game Pass so Xbox fans can try the game out at no additional cost right now.
There’s no better time to give it a go either, as a new update has dropped introducing the live-service game’s seventh season, complete with new content additions and gameplay changes.
It adds the new map Haven which will be joined by another map called Stadium later down the line, as well as adds a variety of new weapons to your arsenal, like the AK 5C, SCZ-3 and DFR STRIFE LMG.
Also included is a new gadget, the PREDATOR SRAW as well as the XFAD-4 DRAUGR land vehicle.

Several gameplay changes and quality of life improvements have also made their way into the game, improving weapon recoil and headshot damage for certain weapon types, in addition to buffs and nerfs for various gadgets and vehicles.
All in all, it’s not a bad update by any means, and another step on Battlefield 2042’s long road to redemption after a frankly disastrous launch.
It’s unknown what’s next for the Battlefield series, as EA is yet to announce another game though there have been plenty of teases and leaks hinting at its existence.
