Batman: Arkham Asylum needs a Dead Space-style remake, fans say and we’re inclined to agree.
Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham Asylum was first released in 2009, a year after the launch of the original Dead Space. So with it being about the same age as the OG sci-fi space horror, some fans on Reddit are now calling for the Caped Crusader to also get the remake treatment.
“My personal suggestion is Batman: Arkham Asylum. It’s from a similar timeframe as Dead Space and has so much room for QOL improvements to bring the game forward into the new generation,” said Reddit user AlmostColossus. “It’s a shame we got that lacklustre Return To Arkham collection.”

Batman: Arkham Asylum is widely considered to be the best comic book superhero video game of all time or at least, the first to reach high critical acclaim. Arkham Asylum was later remastered in 2016 as part of a collection that also included Arkham City.
Both of which are awesome games. However, despite the remasters having improved visuals, they haven't aged all that well. In terms of manoeuvrability, they have always felt a little bit clunky. That being said, combat can feel as fun as it ever was.
So following the likes of the Resident Evil 2 remake of 2019, and more recently this year's Dead Space remake, perhaps Batman: Arkham Asylum needs some of that extra lovin too?
“Good lord that game would give me nightmares if it was on something like UE5. What a twisted, fantastic game,” said Mi11ionaireman. “This one takes the cake for me. A complete overhaul of this game with good voice actors, updated gameplay mechanics, and a theatrical presentation, it would be amazing.” replied calarionoma.

It’s unlikely that we’ll get a remake of Batman: Arkham Asylum anytime soon, especially with Rocksteady’s focus being on the imminent arrival of the recently delayed Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League this year. However, as they say, “never say never”.
