Baldur’s Gate 3 was one of the best and most loved video games of 2023 and that’s certainly high acclaim considering all the great video games that were released last year.
As well as swooping up most of the accolades at The Game Awards, Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian Studios also ranked among our ‘Greatest Video Games of 2023’. It’s fair to say that with the campaign of Baldur’s Gate 3 potentially lasting hundreds of hours with multiple playthroughs, this beloved RPG could be enjoyed for years to come.

In our review of Baldur’s Gate 3, we said it’s “unlike anything I’ve ever seen. [...] I have gleefully joined the ranks of Baldur’s Gate 3’s evangelical, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. In a year groaning under the weight of so many exemplary games, it is frankly astounding to me how much taller Baldur’s Gate 3 looms over the rest of the pack. I’m not sure we’ll ever see anything quite like it again.”

Now, before we proceed, please be advised that the following information does contain spoilers for the conclusion of Baldur’s Gate 3. That being said, much like the characters of Baldur’s Gate 3, let’s get into the topic of today’s discussion.
As reported by The Gamer, a secret ending will allow you to haunt your party in the epilogue as a ghost if you die and Gale sacrifices himself during the battle with the Netherbrain with his friends being teleported to a safe haven.
After this sacrificial final battle concludes, Withers still invites you as a ghostly entity to the epilogue shindig. The Gamer tried this scenario out for themselves and it sounds like a lot of fun scaring your beloved campaign survivors till your heart is content.
